Against Norco, the young men played in a determined fashion, winning 25-14, 20-25, 25-16, 25-17, advancing to the CIF Quarter-final for the third time in school history. Torrance Armed Forces Day Parade A festive crowd gathered on the Torrance Blvd. parade route to see the 55th annual Armed Forces Day Parade that honors the men and women who serve in the military. This year’s honored branch was the United States Navy and the parade was led by Grand Marshal, Rear Admiral Patrick J. Lorge, Commander, Navy Region Southwest. Representatives from all branches of the Armed Forces were applauded and the parade also included local school bands, drill teams and ROTC units as well as veteran organizations and support groups, state and local elected officials and community groups. The City of Torrance-sponsored parade is the longestrunning Armed Forces Day Parade in the United States.
