Please call (310) 787-0970 to reserve a spot. • Salvation Army Spring Event Raises Money for After School Programs By Charlene Nishimura The Spring Splendor Arty Party special fundraising event was held on April 4th at the California Museum of Fine Art in Downtown Torrance at 1421 Marcelina Avenue. The benefit event for the Torrance Salvation Army included cuisine catered by Chez Mélange, floral arrangements from The Flower Box, beverages donated by local breweries King Harbor Brewing Co. and Strand Brewing Co. and entertainment by rocking live band “The Touch.” Local acclaimed artists including Thomas Redfield, Rodolfo Rivademar and Karl Dempwolf displayed their art and several companies contributed to the silent auction. All proceeds directly benefited the Salvation Army’s after school programs.* Cherish Chin and CFO/Founder Will Daines of King Harbor Brewing Co. served lots of beverages at the Spring Splendor Arty Party. Kris Pena from the Strand Brewing Co. of Torrance displays their craft beer product.
