The college credits for those courses would benefit students enrolled in the “Principles of Engineering” and “Introduction to Engineering Design” at North High School, Torrance High School and South High School during the 2014-2015 school year. On April 16, 2012 The Board approved the high school course outline for “Principles of Engineering” and “Introduction to Engineering Design” on July 21, 2014. The approval was part of the curriculum for Project Lead the Way [PLTW]. PLTW is the nation’s leading provider of science, technology, engineering, and math [STEM] programs.
