Grand Avenue regarding a suspicious activity call. When officers arrived on scene, they contacted a female adult (32-year-old Judith Garcia from Inglewood) in a maroon Nissan Sentra, which was parked in the 200 block of Center Street. A record check of the vehicle revealed it was reported stolen out of the city of Los Angeles. Officers also discovered numerous burglary tools inside the vehicle. One of the males (23-year-old Alberto Melendrez of Los Angeles) initially seen walking away from the vehicle was located in a parked vehicle in the 300 block of Bungalow Drive. It was determined it wasn’t his vehicle and he stole items from inside the car. Garcia was arrested for suspicion of grand theft auto, possession of burglary tools, and possession of methamphetamine. Melendrez was arrested for suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property. The third suspect, only described as a male adult, is still outstanding. If you have any information regarding this crime, please contact Detective Chris Amorino at (310) 524-2258 or camorino@elsegundo.org. • Police Reports Sunday, February 12 Battery-Simple 2/12 11:50 PM WEST.ERN AVE. & TORRANCE BLVD.
