TORRANCE TRIBUNE February 26, 2015 Page 11 Wowser Schnauzers a bit timid and it takes me a little longer to warm up to folks. I think I would do best in a home with another doggie pal to keep me confident. I’m a real sweetie and not very big, only 12 pounds, so I am what is referred to as easily transportable. I think that means I’ll go everywhere you want to take me. If you are interested in Lola, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Let me introduce myself, I’m Gatsby. I’m a one-year old, male, Poodle mix who was Gatsby is a poodle mix who needs some love and training. Kenny has a new home in Pasadena with a loving family. Lola is a sweet little girl looking for a new home. Happy Tails Congrats to Kenny and his new family. Kenny is the seven-year-old rescue from late October who had been tied to a tree and abandoned. We had the melanoma growth on his back removed he’s doing great. Kenny’s new family includes MSFR alumna Kaylee, the little momma dog from last spring. They are all living well in Pasadena. By the way, he doesn’t know about his step-pups! Wishing Kenny much happiness in his forever home. • We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs which are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. If the song is correct and Lola truly gets what Lola wants, than hooray – I’ll be getting my forever home!! I’m a five-year old, purebred, Miniature Schnauzer who has both natural ears and tail. My owner dumped me, along with Chocolate - my Chihuahua sister - at a LA county shelter but I have no ide why. I was a bit of a mess until I received my fabulous makeover, complete with bows, from MSFR. Now, I’m as pretty as my name and looking forward to seeing my sister at adoptions (she was rescued by Yellow Brick Road). I get along great with other dogs but after being abandoned, I’m Zelda is a rescue who is a poodle/schnauzer mix. Slater is loyal and affectionate. rescued with my ladylove, Zelda from and Inland Empire shelter. I was such a matted mess it was humiliating and with my limited human socialization, I must have appeared terrified. Since I was rescued, not to mention being the recipient of a wonderful makeover, I am gaining confidence, approaching humans and coming out of my shell. I get along great with other dogs but I definitely need some leash and obedience training. If you are interested in Gatsby, please email info@ msfr.org for more information. Hello, I’m Zelda and I was rescued with my love, Gatsby, from an Inland Empire Shelter. I’m a one-year old, female, Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix who, due to my lack of socialization, is very skittish. When rescued, I was so matted that it was difficult to identify what was under the mess. My makeover gave some confidence, however, I’m looking for an owner who will be very patient and gentle with me. I find that I do relax a bit when sitting in the shelter of a human lap but I suspect that it will take some time until I’m comfortable with people. I think I would do well in a home with a stable dog as a sibling and who could “show me the ropes.” If you are interested in Zelda, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Hi! My name is Slater and I’m a one-year old, male Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix who is 13 pounds of fun. I was rescued from a LA county shelter where I was brought in as a stray. That is one scary place so is it any wonder that I was very frightened and skittish when the MSFR folks rescued me? Once I realized I wasn’t going back there, I warmed up nicely to my foster family but I’m still a little slow in the trust department. That’s why it would be best to have a patient owner who is willing to give me time to earn my trust. Once I know I can trust you, watch out! You’ll never find a more loyal, affectionate guy who loves to play - even with other dogs. If you are interested in Slater, please email info@msfr.org for more information. • Be kind. Save a life.
