WEDNESDAY, FEB. 1 • Toddlertime, 11:00AM., El Retiro Library, 126 Vista del Parque, Call: 310-375-0922. • Craft Delight, 12:00 PM., free, Henderson Major Traffic Collision at 190th and Hawthorne Boulevard On Sunday, January 22 at approximately 4:20 a.m., officers from the Torrance Police Depart- ment responded to major traffic collision on 190th Street, just east of Hawthorne Boulevard. On arrival, officers discovered a single vehicle traffic collision involving a black Hyundai sedan. The initial investigation indicates the Hyundai was driven by a 39-year-old female traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of 190th Street, east of Hawthorne Boulevard when it collided with a concrete support pillar in the center median. The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle sustained major injuries and was treated by Torrance Fire Department personnel at the scene and transported to a local hospital where she is listed in critical condition. The westbound number one lane of 190th Street east of Hawthorne Boulevard was closed for approximately two hours during the investigation. This collision is being investigated by the Torrance Police Department’s Traffic Division under the command of Captain Martin Vukotic, Commander of the Special Operations Bureau.
