His new family is totally smitten and as well as everyone who meets him. “Radar is settling in great. He played, chased his ball, ate well and has more energy than Jim and I combined.  Radar loved Jim from the moment we walked in the door and even though Jim looked at him and said “he’s a Chihuahua,” it didn’t take long for Jim to fall in love too. He is the happiest, sweetest, loving, and funny little dog we’ve ever had! When he takes off running, he skips the first few steps..so funny to watch!  He’s great at meeting people too.  Our contractor stopped by, too, and was instantly smitten.  Radar greeted him with his little waggie tail and lots of kisses. I got him a booster seat for the car so we can start going for rides and coming to Animals Rule in the mornings.  Bud the cat is not happy but that will come in time.  Radar just doesn’t understand why this guy will not play with him!  He’s sleeping well. He has a bed in the living room and one in the den, but, of 5 pounds at only 5 weeks old and they were all born with docked tails.  This is a fantastic litter of sweet, curious, lovable, no-issue pups.  They will require that you have the time on your hands to raise them properly. They will need to stay in the South Bay and north Orange County area since they are unfixed and will need to visit us frequently during the next several months.  Spurs will be neutered when of age; is currently on vaccinations,; is dewormed, microchipped, fine with other dogs; and for the puppy’s well-being, best placed with mature children over 7 please. Saving one animal won’t change the world, but the world will surely change for that animal. • course, he sleeps in bed with us lying flat on his back with all four feet in the air. He’s managed “sit” several times, but Jim says it’s accidental. I know better: he is so smart and so very eager to please. All it takes is a gentle “no” and he stops whatever he is not supposed to be doing. Did I mention he loves his back yard? We play ball with him, but he’s great at throwing the balls around himself and chasing them.  Yesterday a butterfly landed on one of the balls and he was totally in awe: stopped, stared for the longest time and when the butterfly flew away, he was in hot pursuit. I like to think it was Roxy welcoming him home.  And his name will stay Radar:  he walks around half the time with one ear up and one down.  Radar suits him nicely. Thank you both for rescuing Radar and for all the other dogs you have rescued and will continue to rescue. What you do is incredible! Love, Mary, Radar, Jim and Bud.” When you adopt a “pet without a partner,” you will forever make a difference in their life and they are sure to make a difference in yours. • Happy Tails Radar is settling in and loves his new family and all the friends that he is meeting there! Arwen is a gorgeous little brown tabby and white girl with soft golden eyes.  This sweet girl was rescued from death along with her 4 less than one week old kittens. In her foster home, Arwen has four playmates, and she loves them all! She is very playful and runs around with the 6-month-old kittens; it’s a good match- she’s a small cat! Arwen loves to be petted, and she will purr up a storm if you let her. Arwen needs patience, love, and understanding as she continues to gain confidence from whatever made her so scared before being rescued and would be best suited in a calm household.  If you’re looking for a kitty who is low maintenance, but is a good playmate for your cat, Arwen would be your girl!  JellyBean is one very lucky kitten.  He was discovered in a car engine, and his foster mom fished him out and cleaned him up.  With his fluffy black coat, Jellybean is going out of his way to prove that black cats are lucky!  And as if his handsome licorice coloring wasn’t enough, he has developed hints of a white undercoat giving him a smoky appearance that is just too adorable for words.  JellyBean absolutely loves other cats and even dogs.  He is the perfect companion for a lonely cat as he is very high energy due to his youth.  If you don’t already have a kitty companion for him, Jellybean would love be adopted with Charleze, a gorgeous black female kitty who has adopted JellyBean as her baby or with fluffy grey kitten Constantine, who became his kitten companion upon his own rescue.
