October 10 300 Block of 8th St. (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole keys and a wallet. The victim also noticed the trunk to the vehicle, which was parked in the garage, was partially open. No loss reported from the vehicle. 200 Block of Rosecrans Ave. (Vandalism) Unknown suspect(s) vandalized the victim’s vehicle, which was parked in the garage of an apartment complex. The suspect(s) bent the antenna in half and scratched a rear passenger door. October 11 1200 Block of 6th St. (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through an open window and ransacked several rooms. Unknown loss at this time. 100 Block of N. Poinsettia Ave. (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence via an unsecured dog door and stole two pillow cases, jewelry and a trophy. 3700 Block of N. Highland Ave. (Vandalism) Unknown suspect(s) vandalized a business and several vehicles in the area. 3700 Block of N. Highland Ave. (Attempted Vehicle Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) damaged the driver’s side door lock, but no entry was made into the vehicle. October 12 1600 Block of Lynngrove Dr. (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through an unlocked back door and ransacked the master bedroom. Unknown loss at this time. October 13 1100 Block of Ocean Dr. (Attempted Robbery) Two subjects approached the victims and attempted to take their money. One subject punched the victim, who attempted to walk away. Both subjects were located and arrested for attempted robbery. 35th St. / N Poinsettia Ave. (Vandalism) While the victim was driving, the driver’s side rear window was shattered possibly with a BB gun. October 14 1800 Block of 6th St. (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) pried open the rear door to the residence, ransacked several bedrooms and stole a wallet. The victim also reported that the passenger side tires of their vehicle, which was parked inside the garage, had been punctured by an unknown object. 200 Block of Rosecrans Ave. (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) kicked the front door open and entered the apartment. Two televisions were reported stolen. October 15 1800 Block of Wendy Way (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through the bathroom window (removed screen). No loss reported at this time. October 17 1000 Block of N. Sepulveda Blvd. (Forgery) Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s mail, possibly from the post office at the location. LASD arrested the suspect, who was in possession of one of the victim’s checks. 1500 Block of 1st St. (Residential Burglary) Unknown suspect(s) pried open the hallway window and entered the residence. The suspect(s) stole a watch and jewelry. October 19 1700 Block of Laurel Ave. (Theft) Unknown suspect(s) stole a purse and sweater, which was left unattended at the American Martyrs Parish Fair. N Crest Dr. / 9th Pl. (Attempted Theft) Two suspects were seen rummaging through an unlocked vehicle and fled when a neighbor yelled at them. No loss reported at this time. October 20 1700 Block of Laurel Ave. (Theft) Female suspect stole fair tickets and baked goods from American Martyrs Parish Fair. She was subsequently arrested for theft. 1700 Block of Laurel Ave. (Forgery) Female suspect was arrested by officers for passing counterfeit $50 bills at American Martyrs Parish Fair. 1700 N. Ocean Dr. (Theft) Unknown suspect(s) stole a black beach cruiser from the victim’s front porch. October 21 200 Block of Rosecrans Ave. (Battery) The victim confronted the suspect regarding his residency at the apartment. During the argument, the suspect grabbed the victim and hit her on the chest. The suspect was later arrested for battery. October 22 2500 Block of Oak Ave. (Theft) Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the street.
