Well it describes something tiny but they dropped the itsy and just call me Bitsy, because the only thing tiny about me is my size. My huge personality and matching eagerness to please is hard to contain. I’m a 6-year-old, female Miniature Schnauzer/Chihuahua mix with the sweetest face and most adorable ears. I was left at an L.A. County shelter when my previous owner surrendered me, their loss. Then things got a bit confusing. I am micro-chipped, however, I wasn’t registered to the person who relinquished me so, according to the rules, I had to do an extra long stretch at the shelter. It turned out to be very disheartening when no one came to reclaim me, but I’m over that and excited about fi nding a new home. I’m as sweet as can be, I get along splendidly with other dogs but I prefer my doggie friends to be on the quieter side. I’m not quite 7 pounds but it’s all personality and love. If you are interested in Bitsy, please email info@msfr. Happy Tails org for more information. Hi there, I’m Eric! I’m a 5-year-old, male Miniature Schnauzer, and maybe Shih Tzu, mix. It was kind of hard to tell what I was when I fi rst arrived at an L.A. shelter, as a stray, because I was extremely neglected. In fact I looked about 5 pounds heavier than my weight of 10 pounds with all the matting and my dreadlocks. As hard as they tried, I still had to be shaved down but not to worry my coat is growing in nicely. After a trip to the Veterinarian for neutering, a dental – now my pearly whites really are – and breed evaluation I’m ready to fi nd a forever home. It was Eric Hugosquaer Lola (formerly Serena) has found a home joining MSFR 2015 alumnus Lander and a 12-year old Husky sister. decided that since I’m a tiny guy with a bit of a longer body, defi nitely a non-shedder, the best guess is that I’m a Schnauzer/Shh Tzu mix! We’re certain that I’m a real cutie who gets along great with other dogs and I’m a quiet little fellow. If you’re interested in Eric, please email info@msfr.org for more information. When they named me Hugo they absolutely nailed it. It’s German for “bright in mind and spirit, or intelligence.” Being bright in spirit is what landed me in an L.A. area shelter as a stray. Before being captured, I was just a 5-year-old, male purebred Miniature Schnauzer weighing in at a slightly large, 24 pounds. Once on my own, it wasn’t long before I was a hot mess with skin issues and large patches of fur missing. That could be the reason that there was absolutely no interest from the public in adopting me even after residing at the shelter for two weeks. Who knows what my future would have been if the MSFR folks hadn’t recused me. My skin issues, including the missing fur, was most likely due to fl ea allergies but after a bath and a grooming, I’m clearing up nicely. I’m a very nice guy who gets along great with other dogs and I would do best in a home with another dog since I’m not very happy being alone. If you are interested in Hugo, please email info@msfr. org for more information. If you’re looking for a petite little gal that is mature enough to be serene, excels in good manners and will be able to provide many years of companionship, then I’m your gal! My name is Faye and I’m a 10-year-old, female Chihuahua that was rescued from an L.A. County shelter after my owner surrendered me. I get along well with other dogs and am a very sweet and easy-going lady. Even though at 10 pounds I’m easily transportable, I’d like to get back to my ideal weight of 8 pounds to keep my girlish fi gure. I’m a dignifi ed gal with a tad of mischief in my eyes and lots of love to give. I can be seen by appointment at Yellow Brick Road Doggie Playcare in El Segundo call 310-606-5507 or email southbaydoggie@ hotmail.com for an appointment or more information. • Congratulations to Serena, now named Lola, and her new family. Serena was rescued the same time as Ditto and both had identical injuries resulting in severe nerve damage to their left front legs. Sadly even after heroic attempts to save their legs the damage was too great and amputation was the only alternative. A previous MSFR adopter, who had been following her story via Facebook, decided she just had to adopt this special gal. Lola joins MSFR 2015 alumnus Lander and a 12-year old Husky sister. She went to a wonderful, dog loving family and is now living in Rancho Santa Margarita. Lola and her pal Ditto bonded during their amputation ordeal and now that she’s has found such an awesome family, she’s hoping that Ditto will be as lucky. Wishing everyone many years of happy adventures! • Saving one animal won’t change the world, but the world will surely change for that animal.
