Page 8 July 14, 2016 Wrigley Frankie Ziegfreid and one thing for certain is that I’m definitely diminutive. I’m a 2-year-old, female, Maltese/Poodle mix. I ended up at an L.A. county shelter as a stray and was accompanied by two friends, Stardust and Major Tom. Both of my friends have found perfect homes but I’m still looking for mine. I can’t remember how long I was “on the streets” but I certainly was a mess when I arrived at the shelter. I was in dire need of bath and my beautiful coat was so matted and Ziggy Reese Precious, now named Pippi is living the good life! Wowser Schnauzers Happy Tails Congratulations to Precious, now named Pippi, and her new family. It was “Mother’s Day” on Father’s Day for this little gal who went live with her 6-year old Chihuahua brother and her retired Mom and Dad. While Pippi is thrilled to be living the good life in Torrance, she has some worries. Being a great Mom she worries about her babies, Flo and Snow, who still need to find their forever home. She’s hoping that since her folks spotted her in the El Segundo Herald maybe another loyal Herald subscriber will contact MSFR’s website to check out her kids. Wishing much happiness and long life full of adventures to Pippi and her forever family. • We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs which are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. My new name is Wrigley and I am looking for my forever home. My previous owner passed away and left my three siblings and me behind. Since I’m a 4-year-old, male purebred Miniature Schnauzer, the rescue group helping my siblings, contacted the nice folks at MSFR to help me find a new family. I don’t think it will be too hard because I’m a pretty happy little guy who is very friendly and gets along great with other dogs. I only weighs about 16 pounds, have natural ears and a natural tail that looks kind of fancy. I have been checked out by the vet and had a dental – guess what – no extractions!! I’m really a terrific companion and would be an awesome addition to your family. If you are interested in Wrigley, please email info@ msfr.org for more information. Ziggy is the diminutive form of the name dirty that it looked like grey dreadlocks. After some grooming magic, I’ve been transformed to a lovely, long-legged “Multi-Poo” with an adorable face. I’m pretty quiet, a bit shy at first meeting but I’m 13 pounds of sweetness and affection. I get along great with other dogs and would love to have a doggie pal. If you are interested in Ziggy, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Frankie is my name and I am looking for a new family who will want to love me as much as I’m going to love them. My previous owner wasn’t very loving when they just dumped me at the shelter. They had been my family since I was just a puppy and, according to them, I contracted juvenile cataracts when I was a year old. I was a loyal and great companion for six years so I was really surprised when they decided to leave me at the shelter because they were moving to a non-pet residence. Now here I sit, a 6-year-old male, purebred Miniature Schnauzer looking for my forever home. Due to my limited vision, I can be a bit nervous at first meeting but once I get comfortable with my surroundings, I become people friendly in no time at all. I get along great with other dogs and I really need to be adopted by a family who has another doggie pal to show me the ropes. I’m only 18 pounds but it’s all personality and sweetness. If you are interested in Frankie, please email info@msfr. org for more information. Hello, I’m a 3-year-old, female purebred Miniature Schnauzer named Reese. One night when I was out looking for adventure, I injured my paw and fractured two teeth – bad idea. Next thing I knew I was captured and taken to a shelter and assigned a bed in their medical building. It was only a soft tissue injury that healed quickly but now I need a home. No one was interested when I was at the shelter but then I definitely was not a pretty sight. I was a stinky, matted mess with a goofy smile so it’s no surprise that no one wanted to adopt me. After being rescued I had a dental and my damaged teeth – one was an upper canine – were removed. Then it was off to the groomer where I was bathed and shaved down a bit. I am happy to say I am now 16 pounds of beauty in the form of a ablack and silver girl with a natural, plume of a tail. I get along great with dogs and love people so please come to adoptions and ask for Reese. If you are interested in Reese, please email info@msfr.org for more information. • Saving one animal won’t change the world, but the world will surely change for that animal.
