March 16, 2017 Page 3 Calendar Inside Inglewood Hawthorne Happenings News for the City of Good Neighbors from City Clerk Huber Stuck With Me I’m sorry to report that you will have me for another year to kick around as City Clerk. At last night’s city council meeting, the council voted to extend everyone’s term by one year. So, instead of bowing out of my position this November, I will be sharing my Hawthorne Happenings with you until November of 2018. My plans are to retire from teaching in June of next year. I’m looking forward to spending a little more time out on the golf course, watching my grandkids grow up, and of course relaxing with a cold one beginning next summer. I’m too busy to have cold ones now. To be honest, I just write a lot about cold ones, I really don’t partake that much. At the conclusion of my City Clerk term, I will have sat up there and read the agenda for nine years, or over 250 city council meetings. It will also mean that I have tried to amuse you with over 450 Hawthorne Happenings. Just thinking about it all makes me thirsty. Hang with me my friends; I think we can make it through this together.
