Bet you can’t adopt just one! “If you’ve ever wanted your own little Cleopatra to adore, I’m definitely the perfect gal for you. I’m a two-year old, female “Schnoodle” or Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix searching for my forever home. During the recent storms, I was looking near the storm drains for my barge, or anything I could travel on, when I was captured. I ended up at an LA County shelter, as a stray, and remained imprisoned until the MSFR folks rescued me. Unlike the infamous Cleopatra, I’m only 12 pounds, a bit shy, a tad reserved, sweet as can be and a perfect little lady. While I get along with other dogs, I would definitely be great as an only queen or princess.” If you’re interested in Cleopatra, please email info@ msfr.org for more information. “If having a tiny, unique and adorablelooking dog has always been your dream, look no more! My name is Chumley and I would be an awesome addition to your family. Happy Tails I’m a two-year old male of questionable lineage, but I look a lot like a Shih Tzu/ Brussels Griffon mix. After arriving at an LA County shelter as a stray, I was supposed to be adopted by a member of the public but they never showed up…so the MSFR folks decided to become my heroes and rescue me. Honestly, I think that once they saw how exceptionally cute I am, they just couldn’t resist me. Some might say I am a funny-looking little guy because I’m much taller than a Shih Tzu but have a Brussels Griffon face. I’m 12 pounds of personality Chumley Donny, now named Niles, has found a new family in Manhattan Beach. who gets along well with other dogs and I’m extremely people-friendly. You really have to come to our adoption fair to see for yourself what an original I am!” If you’re interested in Chumley, please email info@msfr.org for more information. “Hi – my name is Sunny and I’m certainly looking to put some cheer into my life. I’m a five-year old, female, purebred Miniature Schnauzer who was found by a very kind Good Samaritan. They wanted to find me a forever home, so they contacted the folks at MSFR for help. The rescue people explained Congratulations to Donald, aka Donny, and his new family. Donny, now named Niles, is our rescue from last February that had a fractured pelvis requiring surgery and several months of rehab, including aqua therapy. Niles, who is exceptionally obedient (thanks to his foster mom, Marilyn), met his family last weekend and is now living in Manhattan Beach. He has his the process and said that I had to go to a shelter--so if my owner was looking for me, I could be easily located. Then if my owner didn’t reclaim me, or if I wasn’t adopted by the public (who always has first pick of shelter dogs), the MSFR volunteers promised them that I would be rescued. I was really excited because someone was supposed to adopt me…but when my adopter found out I had some medical issues, they changed their minds. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! After I was rescued, a trip to the vet to repair my inguinal hernia was in order. While I was there, they also did a dental, which required the extraction of eight teeth. I’m finally feeling fit as a fiddle and looking pretty good, if I do say so myself. I’m 18 pounds of quiet love and affection and wanting so badly to give it to my forever family.” If you’re interested in Sunny, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Saving one animal won’t change the world, but the world will surely change for that animal. own human siblings and a stay-at-home mom to love and shower him with attention, so he definitely won’t be lonely. Niles, who is no stranger to wearing attire, is most likely going to be the best of friends with his human sister who, we’re guessing, will have fun dressing him up. Wishing the whole family many happy years of fun, festivities and fashion shows! •
