Page 8 June 9, 2016 Purrrfect Companions Fern Shorty Make a purr-fect match when you adopt a new feline friend. Need your kitten fix? Check out the “kitten cam” in our nursery at http:// explore.org/live-cams/player/kitten-rescue-cam. Fern is an affectionate kitten with soft gray fur and white mitten paws and chest. Found and rescued from under a shed when she was about four weeks old, Fern’s foster parents have cleaned, cared, and socialized her and her kitten brother, David Meowie. Fern and David keep  each other  company and play away the day together and have been trained to sleep through the night. Both are being trained to scratch on a sisal scratch post instead of furniture. Fern’s calm spirit balances out David’s playfulness. Fern watches the world with her big beautiful eyes and enjoys following her human companions around the home and being cuddled. David Meowie is a sweet, playful kitten with lovely black stripes and white mitten paws. David keeps his kitten claws in check on a sisal scratch post. Ever since he was first rescued, David has been quick to curl up in people’s laps and purr away. His foster family’s six and nine-year old nephew and niece can attest to the fact that David is an enjoyable playmate. He loves people and would love to get to know you too!  Noodles was living on the street with his litter mates and mom. Luckily, the whole litter was rescued. Noodles is a friendly and gentle fluffy tuxedo kitten. He loves to play and is happiest playing with his brother Oodles. Noodles has a calm demeanor when he’s relaxing, but like any kitten has a ton of energy and will be adopted out with his brother, Oodles. They spend their whole day playing, snuggling and grooming each other! Noodles is good with the children he’s met so far and is excellent with other cats! Maie foster mother picked up off the street. Dolly is a sweetheart and very entertaining as well as being a wonderful companion and playmate to her foster kitty sisters. These cats and kittens are available for adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest cat rescue groups in Southern California.  All of our kitties are spayed/ neutered, micro-chipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed and current on their vaccinations. Your tax deductible donations for the rescue and care of our cats and kittens can be made through our Shorty is a playful boy who has a special move where he will just flop down on the floor when you’re about to pick him up. He’ll roll over for some belly rubs and once you pick him up, he’ll let you carry him like a baby. This sweet boy will come greet you at the door when you arrive home. He loves to carry little stuffed animals around in his mouth and chase toys that you throw across the floor. He loves his brother Stumper and would like to find a home together with him. Shorty was born to a stray cat and taken into a foster home as a kitten together with his brother, after their sister unfortunately got hit by a car. He loves the cozy indoor life and all the comforts it provides. Maie is a very sweet and gentle little girl who is looking for someone to love her. She may seem a little shy at first, but Maie is so very sweet and loves pets. Once she is comfortable with her surroundings, Maie is outgoing and confident. When you pet her, she will roll over on her back to give you her belly and then will purr and purr. She is sometimes afraid, at first, of other cats she doesn’t know and will hide from alphas. Maie would be a great only cat or sister to a mellow, non-alpha kitty. She also loves to play with her human and will roly poly around like a big worm when she is being petted and played with. Dolly is a beautiful medium-long haired calico.  She is very sweet and playful girl with the most gorgeous big round yellow eyes. She is most happy when playing with her human companions or other kitties, but can also entertain herself alone with her toys.  Although she likes to be in the company of people and sleeps at the foot of her foster mother’s bed, Dolly can be skittish when approached by people.  She has made a lot of progress from the terrified kitten that her David Meowie Noodles Dolly website or by sending a check payable to Kitten Rescue, 914 Westwood Blvd. #583, Los Angeles, CA 90024.
