Page 8 August 6, 2015 Purrrfect Companions Saving one animal won’t change the world, but the world will surely change for that animal. Looking for your purr-fect match? Kitties of all colors and sizes are ready for the forever home with you. Merlin was rescued from a woodpile four days after the 4th of July. He was terrified, jumping at every sound, but the instant he was in human arms this boy was all purrs.  Whatever trauma he went through still lingers as loud noises send him diving for cover and the unknown is a very scary prospect.  However, Merlin loves human attention and petting.  Give him some loving and he turns on the charm, purring away and even asking for belly rubs! Merlin would do best in a calmer environment, away from loud sudden noises that might remind him of those Pets can get loose or lost through mishaps and travel quickly. Microchip: it works! Elektra Chanel (gray) and Kalea Merlin terrifying days of fireworks. He loves other cats to pieces and takes comfort from their presence.  First time he met his foster buddies, he just sat there and let them sniff him all over - not one hiss!  Merlin is absolutely adorable with his eyeliner and tabby patches. Merlin must be adopted with a buddy or to a home with a resident cat as he would be very lonely as an only kitty.  He should go to a home with adults or mature children as sudden noises and movements are still scary for this sweet boy. Speckled with Tortoiseshell colors and boasting proud tabby stripping, Elektra is a Merida visual bouquet of color and fun! A little livewire, this girl loves to play all day long!  Elektra made instant friends with the other kitties, romping and wrestling with them, or just playing with toys by herself when the others were napping.  She also can be a little daredevil, scaling the cat tree without fear and always ready for the next adventure. Elektra needs a forever kitty friend as she would be super lonely and bored as an only kitty.  She does great with other cats and especially enjoys pouncing on them. Dainty Chanel was rescued from the shelter along with her Abyssinian mix mother Coco, and four siblings when they were just three weeks old.  Chanel shares the ticked coat and tiny stature of her mother, as well as the tabby lines on her legs.  Chanel loves to play, play, play!! She gets along with every kitty she meets, nursing on the fur of adult cats if she can, and romping around with all her foster friends.  She’s even taken to grooming others, such as her foster buddy Kalea.  Chanel can’t get enough attention, crying at meal times, and climbing her foster mom because she wants to be cuddled, snuggled, and petted.  Lap time is a must for this princess, when she’s not off romping with her friends that is. Chanel needs a companion kitty in her life and cannot be adopted as a single cat.  She would make a fabulous friend for any kitty and a wonderful addition to just about any household. Kalea is a petite kitten with dainty paws.  She loves to snuggle and cuddle with other kittenss and will definitely join in when it’s time to play. Kalea also loves the adult kitties, who will play with her when she feels like it and leave her alone the rest of the time.  From her goofy mustache, to her tiny front toes dipped in white, Kalea is equal parts elegance and silliness. She would be great for a young adult who wants a friend to hang out with. Kalea needs a home with another kitten or young cat, as she does love to play and thrives off the company of other kitties. Merida was named after the Disney princess from Brave, not only because of her red hair...she is smart, spunky, determined and affectionate! Merida loves giving and receiving attention so much, she demands it! She loves to be pet and will squirm around in your lap with happiness. She’ll even relax and just sit with you while you rub her little head! She would do great with other cats or as a single kitty as long as she gets enough lovin’. Merida will be a great companion! These kitties are available for adoption through Kitten Rescue, one of the largest cat rescue groups in Southern California.  All of our kitties are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, dewormed and current on their vaccinations.
