Next Wednesday is the beginning of the Lenten season in the Christian church year calendar. That is why you will see people coming to work with a black ashy cross smudged onto their forehead. The symbol for Ash Wednesday reminds us of this six week period of repentance leading up to Good Friday and Easter that will be on April 20th this year. On March 9th, make sure you turn your clocks forward an hour as we begin daylight savings time. Winter will soon pass, Spring is on its way.
