Page 12 December 31, 2015 EL SEGUNDO HERALD Wowser Schnauzers can get along with smaller, female dogs but it will take some patience and a little work to help me adjust. I’m not exactly a non-shedder because I’m a mix but you could call me a low shedder because it’s not very much. The best news is that when I get groomed I can get a Schnauzer cut or you can just let me go au naturel! If you are interested in Linus, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Maddie Cora and Nora got to stay together with their new family. Linus Happy Tails Congratulations to our sweet Willie and his new family. Willie is our LA county shelter rescue with the awesome brows and too sweet face. Willie’s new parents lost their 15-year old lab a couple of years ago and were considering adopting a Schnauzer for quite a while. Willie captured their hearts and is going to have a very Merry Christmas! Wishing you many more occasions to celebrate! • We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs which are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. If you have any questions about a particular dog’s availability you can email us at info@msfr.org. Schnauzers! Bet you can’t adopt just one! They call me Linus but I don’t carry a blanket. I’m a one-year old, male, Miniature Schnauzer mix who got lost and ended up at a LA county shelter as a stray. I had some folks interested in me and even had a family that was scheduled to adopt me. Sadly, they must have changed their minds at the last minute because they never came to make it official. The MSFR folks literally came to my rescue and I am so very thankful to them. They always tell me that I super sweet and what a great little (only 14 pounds) guy I am. If you’re looking for a real “people” dog, that’s me. I would love to be your only dog but I Venus Mars It’s true that good things come in small packages and I’m here to prove it. My name is Maddie and I am a 1-year old, female, Miniature Schnauzer mix that is nothing but 13 pounds of petite sweetness. I was rescued from a LA county shelter just a couple of days before Halloween and that was certainly no treat. It was a very intimidating place and didn’t suit my reserved personality. Since I’m not outgoing, actually I’m kind of shy, it’s no surprise that no one was interested in adopting me. I get along great with other dogs, and I’m pretty quiet but I do love my people. Come to adoptions and see if you aren’t just mad about Maddie. If you are interested in Maddie, please email info@msfr. org for more information. My name is Venus and I’m a 60-pound, 2-year old, female Husky. My handsome mate, Mars, and I were found wandering the streets together on June 30th in San Bernardino. I had no ID or microchip so they considered me a stray. I spent 8 days in the shelter hoping that my owner would come to look for me but no such luck. It’s obvious that my previous owners took very good care of me. I have a beautiful coat, I’m at my appropriate weight and am extremely sweet and gentle. Mars and I are truly a mated pair who clearly love one another, so we would love to be able to stay together. We compliment each other so well that even when we’re together we are quiet, calm and easy to manage. We love to go for car rides and get along good with other dogs. Venus and Mars can be seen anytime at Yellow Brick Road Doggie Playcare in El Segundo Call 310-606-5507 or email southbaydoggie@ hotmail.com for an appointment or more information. I also spent 8 days in the shelter hoping that my owner would come to look for me but it was not to be. It’s obvious by my stunning coat and the fact that I’m properly nourished that my previous owners took good care of me. I have a sweet and gentle temperament and get along well with other dogs. Venus and I are truly a mated pair who clearly love one another, so we would love to be able to stay together.
