Community Briefs Thomas Lynch, a scout in Troop 713 and a senior at El Segundo High School, earned his Eagle Scout rank on August 25, 2016. Thomas designed and built a terrace and planted succulents for the Eagles Nest Preschool to solve soil erosion problems. Thank you to both Mr. Perez and Ms. Andradre Grijalva, El Segundo Unified School District, for helping throughout the entirety of the project. The American Red Cross urges eligible donors to give the lifesaving gift of a blood donation in December--a time when donations decline but the needs of patients remain steady. Donors of all blood types are needed this holiday season to help ensure a sufficient supply for hospital patients.
