Mattel hosted the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce’s yearly Salute to El Segundo recognizing El Segundo’s mayors on Nov. 14. As usual, it was a major success with a huge turnout. A giant white holiday tent has been erected on Mattel’s grounds that houses flats stacked up with toys, dolls and games. Everything in the tent is for sale to the public at up to 70 percent off through the holidays. Bulk buying is also available for many charities. This year, Mattel will send a trailer full of goodies to Thousand Oaks for the children displaced by the fires. •
