The alleged suspect would intentionally stand or walk next to his large uncovered bay windows while naked in the early morning hours while people were walking by. Detectives were able to identify the alleged suspect and his residence. Detectives learned the alleged suspect was previously convicted of indecent exposure in 2006. In that incident, the alleged suspect, who at that time lived at a different address in El Segundo, stood naked in front of his bay window and stared intently at a female juvenile while he “showed off” in a lewd and annoying way. On October 25, 2016, the alleged suspect came to the El Segundo Police Department to complete his yearly mandatory sex registration paperwork. While at the station, detectives questioned him about the above offense and placed him under arrest. Charles Dedeurwaerder was booked into the El Segundo Police jail for 314.1 PC – Indecent Exposure with a prior and is being held on $35,000 bail.
