Heather was an only child.  Heather loved her family, her friends, dancing, music, paddleboarding, running and triathlons. Over the course of the years she competed in 23 different half marathons and triathlons.  Heather is survived by her father, Harry Stasney, and an entire tribe of friends who will miss her dearly.  Memorial services will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, October 16th at The Bridge at 429 Richmond St. Reception to follow from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at The El Segundo Moose Lodge at 514 W. Imperial Hwy. • Bene Schleuniger Bene Schleuniger 90 of Wildomar, CA died peacefully at her home on Sunday, Oct 11th 2015. She was born to the late Benjamin and Elsie Robinson in Inglewood CA in 1925. She married Arnold X. Schleuniger in 1945 and soon settled in Arnold’s hometown of El Segundo, where they raised 8 children. Bene’s formal name was Elsie Benette, but she was always known as Bene to her family and friends. Some of her favorite times were spent riding her bike on the beach, and skiing and camping with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Bene is survived by her husband Arnold Schleuniger, her children Nettie Teuscher and Candice Ford of Aspen CO, Craig, Paul, and Maria Schleuniger of Wildomar CA, Robin Schleuniger of El Segundo CA, Bene Schleuniger of Juneau AK, and Lisa Pangaro of Hermosa Beach CA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Rosary Services will be held at Douglas Mortuary on Sunday, Oct. 18th at 4:00 pm. Funeral Services are being held at Holy Cross Cemetery’s Risen Christ Chapel in Culver City at 12:30 pm. If you would like to attend funeral services, blue attire was requested by Bene herself, but not required. •
