Godtfred and Minnie (Ellingson) Lien. Randi was the oldest daughter of a family of nine children growing up on a farm near Kerkhoven MN. After graduating from high school, Randi attended business college in St Cloud MN. In 1944 Randi moved to California, where she met Loren Nelson. On February 1, 1945, Miranda married Loren Nelson at the Wee Kirk o’ the Heather, Glendale California. To this union three sons were born: Stephen, Gregory, and Richard. Loren passed away May 20, 1966. Randi was employed by the city of El Segundo, retiring as the Deputy Treasurer for the city. On August 9, 1968, Randi married Lin Linquist. Randi loved dancing, watching Dancing with the Stars, playing her organ, and listening ot music. Taking cruises was also a highlight for Randi’s life.
