Mr. Sablan called the police when he observed two men acting suspiciously in a parking agarage.  Officers located one of the subjects hiding in the backyard of a nearby residence and found him to be in possession of stolen property taken from a vehicle in the area.  Officers also discovered the suspects had broken into numerous carport lockers.  Sablan’s assistance led to the arrest of a burglary suspect. Kiwanis Good Citizen Award Tournament of Roses Parade Trip Join us on New Year’s Day for the 127th Tournament of Roses Parade. Our seats are on Colorado Blvd and are only a few rows high so we can see and smell all the beautiful floral floats, hear the spirited marching bands, watch the fantastic equestrian groups and just experience the whole event for the day. Seat cushions are allowed up to 18 1/2 inches. Food and drinks are allowed but no coolers. Whatever you bring must fit on your lap or by your feet. Please note: no cans, no glass, no umbrellas, no alcohol and no banners or signage. Please dress accordingly for the weather. Register early; this trip will fill to capacity. ESFD Fill the Boot Drive Members of the El Segundo Fire fighters Local #3682 along with the Muscular Dystrophy Asso- ciation, Greater Los Angeles will fan out across the city of El Segundo with boots in hand for this year’s Fill the Boot drive on September 14th, 18th, and 22nd from 7:00am- 1:00pm at the intersections of El Segundo Blvd. & Sepulveda Blvd and Grand Ave. & Sepulveda Blvd.   

 Funds raised through the 3-day 2015 El Segundo Fire fighter Fill the Boot event support MDA’s life-enhancing programs such as state-of-the-art support groups and clinics, including MDA Clinics at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, UCLA Medical Center, and Olive View Medical Center. They also make MDA summer camp possible so kids with muscle disease can enjoy “the best week of the year” at the Irvine Outdoor Education Center in Orange, CA and nearly 80 other locations nationwide. •
