I’m Peabody – not Mr. Peabody, just sweet, adorable, happy Peabody. I’m a three-year-old male Miniature Schnauzer mix who looks just like a purebred with longer legs, a natural tail and eyelashes that would put Bambi to shame! I was rescued from a LA county shelter where my owner turned me in because I was “aggressive with their Bones needs lots of loving care. Happy Tails Congratulations to our sweet, little Sprout and his new family. Our tiny, senior boy now lives in L.A. with a previous MSFR adopter. Sprout is the third dog that they have adopted from MSFR but sadly one 7-month old baby” or so they said. The MSFR folks haven’t seen anything but my great temperament. I love everyone and get along with other dogs so if you have a pal for me, that’s great. I’m only 19 pounds so I’m still cuddling and hugging size, and once you see how well mannered I am I know I’ll just steal your heart. Who could resist a face like mine? If you are interested in Peabody please email info@msfr.org for more information. They call me Bones and I’m a 2-year-old male Miniature Schnauzer mix. I could be a Tibetan Terrier/Schnauzer mix but we’re not making any promises. A more accurate description of me would be that I look like a “Tramp” type dog with my long legs and sleek (23-pound) body. When I was rescued from the LA county shelter I was pretty sick with kennel cough and giardia and I’m still a few pounds underweight. After taking all of my medications, and receiving lots of TLC, I’m feeling great and ready to begin adventures with my new family. I’m a fairly calm boy who is very good with other dogs. I was a little shy with people in the beginning but I’m doing just fine now. I’ve been given so much love that my trust and confidence level is right up there! If you are interested in Bones please email info@ msfr.org for more information. Hello, I’m Zelda and I was rescued from an Inland Empire Shelter along with my love, Gatsby. He’s been adopted and now it’s my turn. I’m a one-year-old female Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix who, due to my lack of socialization, was very skittish. When rescued, I was so matted that it was difficult to identify what was under the mess. Lorena is a Pit mix with very good manners. has passed on and they have found room in their heart for another senior. Sprout is now called Chewie and joins alumni Obi Wan Kobe (formerly known as Kirk) and they are looking forward to plenty of adventures. • Little Sprout found his way to a new Star Wars-themed home and is now known as Chewie. Zelda needs a patient owner to help her adjust. Although my makeover has given me some confidence and I’ve made huge strides in restoring trust I’m still looking for a patient and gentle adopter who will help me adjust. I find that I feel most comfortable when sitting in the shelter of a human lap but I think that I would also do well in a home with a confident dog as a sibling who could “show me the ropes.” If you are interested in Zelda, please email info@msfr.org for more information. My name is Lorena and I’m a friendly, easy-going, female Pit mix.   I was rescued from a high-kill Inland shelter where I was called a stray. The reality is that I got lost trying to run away from all of the noise on July 4th and never made it home. The folks at the shelter thought I could be about five years old but my foster Mom said I’m closer to three years old. I am a good-natured gal and I’m very teachable because I want so much to please. I’m pretty smart and have learned some great manners. I’m crate trained, well behaved in both the house and the car and I’m super great on the leash. I haven’t met a dog that I didn’t like and I’m usually submissive with other dogs but I also haven’t been challenged. I’m a lean little gal, only 45 pounds, and I have lots of love to give. I know that I will make an excellent companion and bring years of happiness to the family who is lucky enough to adopt me! If you have questions or are interested in Lorena, please email emread@verizon.net. • Peabody gets along well with everyone.
