The amendment establishes new regulations, which permit the development of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in single-family residential zoning districts and two-family residential zoning districts where the parcel smaller than 4,000 square feet. Specifically the ordinance allows one ADU up to 1,200 square feet per lot. ADUs are not allowed to be sold separately from the primary dwelling, and the property owner is required to live on site.
