Starting fall 2017, well-prepared El Camino College students will be eligible for guaranteed admission to LMU if GPA and unit requirements are met. Students will be able to transfer into LMU’s liberal arts, business administration, communications and fine arts programs. ECC students will also have access to beneficial services such as campus tours, workshops, financial aid and scholarship information, transfer counseling, pre-admission advising and invitations to campus events. Veteran Career Pathway Program for New Football Stadium An information session will take place on Thursday, July 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the South Bay One-Stop Business & Career Center in Inglewood (110 S. La Brea Avenue) regarding employment opportunities available to veterans interested in working on the proposed LA Football Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park. Attendees will receive a one-on-one construction entry pathway session, with information on registering with building trades and carpenters unions as well as an apprenticeship program. The session will also provide a forum for veterans to meet preapprentice training partners and introductions to jobs coordinators, partnering contractors, developers and owner/agencies. Validated parking will be available at 110 S. Locust. A vehicle was broken into and miscellaneous items were taken. Burglary (auto) report was taken at 1032 hours from the 800 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard. A vehicle was broken into and miscellaneous items were taken. Grand theft auto report was taken at 1035 hours from the 1000 block of East Imperial Avenue. One male adult was arrested at 1254 hours in the 700 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard for one LASD misdemeanor warrant. Burglary (auto) occurred between 0800 and 1242 hours in the 2200 block of East Maple Avenue. Grand theft occurred between 0001 hours and 1700 hours on 05/06/17 in the 200 block of Loma Vista Street. Two rings were stolen. Friday, June 30 One female adult was detained at 0154 hours from the 500 block of Sheldon Street and transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. An identity theft report was taken at 1348 hours from the 800 Loma Vista Street. Unknown suspect(s) fraudulently used the victim’s debit card account. A grand theft occurred between 1352 hours and 1422 hours in the 400 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard. A purse was stolen. A petty theft report was taken at 1510 hours from the 800 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard. Unknown suspect(s) removed an air bag from an unlocked vehicle. A burglary (commercial) report was taken at 1557 hours from the 800 block of South Douglas Street. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into a hotel room through an open window. No property was taken. A burglary (commercial) report was taken at 2149 hours from the 800 block of South Douglas Street. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the victim’s room through unknown means. Taken were a laptop computer and miscellaneous clothing. Saturday, July 1 A found property report was taken at 0218 hours from Holly Avenue and Main Street. A folding knife was found at the location on 06/29/17. A found property report was taken at 0220 hours from Walnut Avenue and Sheldon Street. A black wallet containing a debit card and college identification card was found at the location on 06/26/17. A found property report was taken at 0317 hours from Vista Del Mar and Imperial Highway.
