EL SEGUNDO HERALD June 18, 2015 Page 15 Wowser Schnauzers of a “tall drink,” get it? If you are interested in Hershey please email info@msfr.org for more information. What would you call a 7-year old, male, Miniature Schnauzer mix that weighs a mere 9 pounds? I think Sprout, or Little Sprout, is the perfect name for me. I was rescued from a LA county shelter where I came in as a messy, matted, stray who was missing quite a few teeth. I didn’t get much interest at the shelter but I think it’s because of my age and Sprout is very friendly. Nixon needs a new family to trust and love. my appearance. My rescue make over was most amazing and I have cleaned up very nicely – if I do say so myself. After my dental I was missing 9 more teeth but I have an awesome smile and a personality to match. I look like a tiny Miniature Schnauzer whose body is a bit longer, with a docked tail and natural ears. I am extremely friendly and not only love people but get along splendidly with other dogs. If you are interested in Sprout please email info@msfr.org for more information. Hello there. My name is Nixon and for a 3-year old my life has been anything but happy. I don’t know why my owners weren’t very kind to me because I really did my best to be good. They never spent much time loving me and they never brushed or groomed me so I was always a matted mess. Then they finally Jaycee has a new Dad to kiss and snuggle with. Hershey is as sweet as chocolate. Happy Tails Congratulations to Jaycee, our little Downey rescue, and her new Dad. He is a long time Schnauzer lover and has had 5 other Schnauzers before adopting Jaycee. Sadly, his recent loss of two Schnauzer ladies in less than two months (a 15 year old to heart failure and a 10 year old to kidney failure) has been devasting. Knowing Jaycee, she’s the perfect little gal to help heal his broken heart and bring a smile to his life. Jaycee, now named Gracie, lives in the Laurel Canyon area of L.A. Wishing you lots of happiness and adventures. • We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs which are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. If you’re looking for a unique companion, how about a 6-year old, male, purebred, Parti Miniature Schnauzer? That’s me - Hershey and you might say I’m a real “parti” animal. I am a rare, liver-colored Schnauzer and that means I’m probably from a pet store or the result of backyard breeding. I was rescued from a LA county shelter where I was called a stray. I had my ID tags on but I guess my owner was “partied” out and opted not to reclaim me. I have no idea why because I’m a good-looking guy who is extremely sweet and pretty mellow. I get along great with everyone, weigh only 22 pounds but I am a bit Hickory is a joyful shepherd mix. decided to drop me off at a shelter and they just walked away without a second glance. Because I was so matted I had to be shaved down after pictures were taken for the neglect case I was involved in. Can you blame me for being fearful of people when the little contact I had was all abuse? Thankfully the MSFR folks rescued me, got me some help and with lots of love and TLC, I’m finally back to my friendly, trusting self and looking for my forever home. I’m 15 pounds of love and devotion just looking for the right family to give it to. Will you be the ones? If you are interested in Nixon please email info@ msfr.org for more information. My name is Hickory and I am looking for a family who will love me and appreciate everything that an 8-year-old, male, shepherd mix can bring to their life. I was rescued from the Devore shelter in San Bernardino where, apparently, I didn’t make a very good impression with the public. Although I’m not really old, I knew that a fellow my age and size, about 70 pounds, had little chance of being adopted at such a high-kill shelter. Of course I was depressed and worried about my future but once I was rescued it was another story. Now I am so full of joy that I smile all of the time and my tail wags constantly. I get along great with everyone and I’m just asking for a chance to show you what a great companion I could be. Hickory can be seen anytime at Yellow Brick Road Doggie Playcare in El Segundo Call 310-606-5507 or email southbaydoggie@ hotmail.com for appointment.
