Page 18 June 16, 2016 EL SEGUNDO HERALD Wowser Schnauzers Flo Toby weigh 15-20 pounds when full-grown. We think my birthday is March 1, 2016, which means I’m still just a pup with lots to learn. I actually was adopted but the folks returned me to the shelter the following week because I was “too vocal” and their neighbors complained. How was I supposed to know that I had to use my indoor voice? I had no training and I was alone all day so I just started to sing to entertain myself. I’m a cutie, I’m a sweetie and I want to be Teresa is now in a Schnauzer loving family, congrats! Precious Happy Tails I can guarantee that my coat will grow in and it will be glistening white. If you are interested in Precious, please email info@ msfr.org for more information Hello, my name is Flo and you’ve already met my mom, Precious. Our previous owner dumped my brother, my mother and me at a L.A. County shelter because he had too many dogs. I was told that I had someone who wanted to adopt me but they never followed through. I can’t say that I blame them. I was such a dirty hot mess with matted hair and a large abscess on the side of my face. As it turned out the abscess was caused by an embedded foxtail but a trip to the vet and antibiotics made quick work of that. I’m a very petite gal, weighing in at five pounds, but I’m also only three months old. My approximate date of birth is March 1, 2016, so I’m still a pup but even when I’m full-grown the “guestimate” is that I would only weigh 15-20 pounds. Schnoodles (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) aren’t very big but they are very cute, sweet, loving and make perfect companions. If you are interested in Flo, please email info@msfr.org for more information. I assume that you’ve “met” my Mom, Precious, my sister, Flo and I, being the male of the trio, am called Snow. We were all dumped at an L.A. shelter after our previous owner realized he had more dogs than he could handle. I too am a 3-monthold Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Pooodle mix), weighing only five pounds but will probably We are looking for volunteers to help with our pet adoption fairs which are held every Saturday at the Petco located at 537 N. Pacific Coast Highway Redondo Beach 90277, from noon to 3:30 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering and can commit to at least one Saturday a month, please contact us at info@msfr.org. You can also visit all of our Miniature Schnauzers & Friends rescues at the adoption fair or check out our website, www.msfr.org. If you have any questions about a particular dog’s availability you can email us at info@msfr.org. Schnauzers! Bet you can’t adopt just one! Have you ever looked at a picture of a pretty, little, female Poodle mix and thought, “Gee she’s precious?” Well, yes I am! They call me Precious because I’m such a sweet, gentle, well-mannered mother of three pups who, along with myself, were dumped at an L.A. county shelter by our owner. Our owner decided he had too many dogs and just abandoned us without a second thought. The MSFR folks had rescued one of my Schnoodles (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) and decided the next day to come back for me. You can read about two of my “kiddos” (Flo and Snow) below. After being neglected for so long I was a matted mess and had little hope of ever finding someone to adopt me. The matting was so bad that I had to be stripped down. What a difference, I definitely look tiny, only nine pounds, but Snow yours! If you are interested in Snow, please email info@msfr.org for more information. Hi there! My name is Toby and I’m a 2-year-old male Schnauzer mix. I’m still not certain what happened but one minute I was out exploring the neighborhood and the next I’m at a L.A. County shelter being called a stray. I was micro-chipped so I figured my folks would be notified and I’d be home in a heartbeat. Can you imagine how devastated I was when they decided not to reclaim me and actually relinquished me to the shelter? I have no idea why after spending my puppyhood with them they decided to kick me to the curb. I’m only 8.5 pounds so it couldn’t have been because I was too big. I have a really sweet face with huge, dark, soulful eyes so it couldn’t have been because I’m no longer cute. I guess they decided that they really didn’t want someone who gets along with everyone, has a happy-go-lucky personality and a real love. I’m sure I’ll find a much better home, could it be with you? If you are interested in Toby, please email info@ msfr.org for more information.• It looks like Teresa has hit the forever-home lottery! Her new family is not only long time Schnauzer lovers, this being their sixth one, but they also have a beautiful black and silver mini sister and a senior cat. Not only that but her dad is retired and someone is home all day to play with them. Needless to say this 5-year-old gal grabbed her pink sweater, jumped into their arms and is looking for many, happy times with folks. Congratulations to everyone. Be kind. Save a life.
