While pumping gas, Meghan Madden observed a man passed out in his vehicle and the gas station attendant attempting to wake him up. The man appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He woke up and drove his vehicle out into traffic. He then pulled into an adjacent parking lot where he picked up a passenger before driving back out onto the street. Believing this activity to be suspicious, Madden called police and reported what she had witnessed. She provided a description of the man, his vehicle and license plate number. Madden continually updated the dispatcher regarding his location as he traveled through the area. Officers located the two suspects and an additional passenger and placed them under arrest. Madden’s assistance led to the arrest of three suspects for possession of a stolen credit card and narcotics. – Photo and Content from ESPD Yellow Brick Road Chosen for Dancing Dogs Group Recital Southern California Edison Phone Scam Hits a Local Church On May 3, a suspect called a local church and pretended to be from Southern California Edison (SCE). The suspect threatened that the power would be shut off because of an unpaid electrical bill. The suspect demanded an unpaid bill for $489.72 be paid by purchasing a Green Dot MoneyPak card and providing him the access number. Out of fear that the Dancing Dogs Group conducted a workshop and seminar at Yellow Brick Road Doggie Playcare and Gym last March and it went so well that the El Segundo-based facility was chosen as the location for future conferences. On Saturday, June 10, Dancing Dogs will return for another recital for the public with  its best teams performing dog dancing routines. The cover charge for the event is $10 with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the dog rescue group Wolfie Rescue Foundation. Although it’s exciting for everyone to watch, kids go crazy over this!
