Page 16 May 18, 2017 EL SEGUNDO HERALD Police Reports from page 6 A traffic collision (injuries) occurred at 1842 hours from 120th Street and Aviation. Vehicle versus vehicle. Wednesday, May 10 One female adult was arrested at 0117 hours from the 1100 block of East Imperial Avenue for public intoxication. An injury report was taken at 1057 hours from Grand Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard. A male adult tripped and sustained injuries to his face and head. One male juvenile was arrested at 1138 hours from the 600 block of Main Street for possession of a controlled substance. An online lost property report was taken at 1500 hours from the 300 block of Richmond Street. A driver license was lost at the location. • Clippers from page 5 If they do not, though, the smartest decision for the Clippers organization would be to trade both players now while they still have value. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin add a certain entertainment value to a Clippers organization that would otherwise have about none. While the duo does well to get the organization into the playoffs and sell out the Staples Center in the postseason, an NBA championship is clearly not on the horizon anytime soon. If the Clippers wish to have any long-term success past the next couple of years, they must blow up the roster now while it still has relative value. Failure to do so would simply catapult the franchise back into the days of Pooh Richardson and Michael Olowokandi sooner than anyone would have otherwise thought possible. – asixlion@earthlink.net • Community Briefs from page 2 power would be disconnected, the church representative followed the instructions and sent the money. Only later did the church representative call SCE and learn there was no unpaid electrical bill and they had been scammed. SCE employees will not call and threaten to disconnect your power if you don’t pay them immediately with a pre-paid cash card or other personal financial information. This is a common scare tactic used by phone scammers. • Source: ESPD Nixle Calendar of Events from page 2 WEDNESDAY, MAY 24 • Bowling, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, 50 Plus, Senior Club of El Segundo, Gable House Bowl, 22501 Hawthorne Blvd., Torrance, Cost: $8.00 for 3 games, Call Joyce at: 310-322-7621.
