THURSDAY, APR. 27 • El Segundo Farmer’s Market, 3:00 PM. – 7:00 PM., located on Main Street, Downtown El Segundo. • Obituaries Gerald “Jerry” McNulty Gerald “Jerry” McNulty passed away on March 29, 2017 while recovering from hip surgery. Jerry was born May 24, 1926 in Redondo Beach, CA. He attended El Segundo High School graduating in 1943. During WWII he joined the Navy Air Corp. and later attended Loyola & Occidental Universities. Being an avid beachgoer, naturally, he became a lifeguard and kept the waters of El Porto safe. Owning “Rudy & Jerry’s Service Station” on Main Street and managing the “Plunge” he was a fixture in the community. Jerry wed his sweetheart, Wynogene in 1953 and raised their children in El Segundo. After a 35-year career he retired from Chevron and moved to Tehachapi. There they raised their youngest child and enjoyed retirement. He was involved in Mountain Meadows Dist., Meals on Wheels, and their church. Jerry is survived by his four children; Brian McNulty, & wife Mary, Gail McNulty-Embry, Maureen McNulty-Harrop, & husband Bob, Bradley McNulty, & wife Sebrina, nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild who adored and admired him. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, May 5, 2017, at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church, 407 W. E Street, Tehachapi, CA. In lieu of flowere the family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Gerald & Wynogene McNulty’s honor. • GO METRO TO DODGER STADIUM. A grand theft report was taken at 1022 hours from the 200 block of Nevada Street. Unknown suspect(s) cashed multiple checks stolen from the mail.
