(This authority will allow the personal representative to take many actions without obtaining court approval. Before taking certain very important actions, however, the personal representative will be required to give notice to interested persons unless they have waived notice or consented to the proposed action.) The independent administration authority will be granted unless an interested person files an objection to the petition and shows good cause why the court should not grant the authority. Proposed stations would be constructed by the City and made available to the public for use. These stations allow electric vehicles to park, plug into the station, and obtain electricity from the City, to charge the vehicles. As the City must purchase the electricity from the utility purveyor and pay fees to the manufacturer/operator of the stations, the City is proposing two fees of $0.50 cents per kilowatthour (kwh) and $0.50 cents per hour to aid in the recovery of the City’s costs of providing the service to the public. The City has prepared a Fee Study and Schedule for the Use of City Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and has scheduled a public hearing at the above-referenced time and place for its consideration and possible adoption. The City’s Fee Study and Schedule is available at the City Clerk’s office for public review and comment. All interested persons are invited to be present at the public hearing, and may give testimony at the time and place indicated above. Additional information regarding this fee schedule may be obtained from John Gilmour, Senior Engineering Associate, at (310) 524- 2316. Note that if you challenge the above described resolution in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City at, or prior to, the public hearing.
