After seeing a performance by Ailey II, the celebrated second company of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the kids went onto The Music Center plaza to perform a dance inspired by the “Rocka My Soul” finale of Alivin Ailey’s Revelations. (Photo Courtesy of The Music Center) • “Art of Science/Science of Art”Returns to El Camino Planetarium and Observatory The next installation of the “Art of Science/ Science of Art” series is scheduled for 7-10 p.m. March 18 in the El Camino College Planetarium and Observatory. Attendees are invited to lounge, listen and learn as science and art converge in the second of a special three-part series that explores the theme of the cosmos and space exploration – past, present and future. Beanbag chairs will be set up in the Planetarium, where participants will view selected digital representations of Connie Samaras’ still photography and video works, followed by a full-dome planetarium show directly connected to Samaras’ works as presented by ECC physics instructor Kyle Strohmaier.  The presentation will be on repeat rotation starting at 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m. ECC’s Rooftop Observatory Deck will be open from 7-10 p.m., featuring music, conversation, at El Segundo High School to experience ESCEI (El Segundo Cyber Education Initiative). Students will learn computer science in a fun and engaging way through both high school mentoring and educational video games. Parents will also get a tour of the high school STEM program and have the chance to meet representatives from corporate partners!
