The Middle School “Why Try” program will also take place on January 25 and 26, and will be attended by two counselors and the intervention teacher. The program aims to “provide simple, hands-on solutions for dropout prevention, violence prevention, truancy reduction, and increased academic success” at the Middle School. The High School’s Drum Line field trip will take place in Las Vegas on March 10. The performances will give participants the opportunity to perform in a competition environment in front of an audience as well as “clinicians/judges.” A consultant agreement was approved to have Robin Twitty provide choreographic services to the High School, ramping up to the campus’ 2017 Spring Musical. The MOU with LACOE involves the sharing of important data between all school districts in LA County.
